Powerful Beyond Measure: How to unlock your full potential
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
Cruz said this in the movie Coach Carter, and it was originally said by a teacher named Marianne Williamson.
Today we are going to talk about how this can help you as an athlete in your game …
As well as how it can help you as an Athlete in the Larger Game of Life.
Powerful Beyond Measure
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
I remember the first time I heard this line in the movie Coach Carter …
And chills went down my spine.
This line has many connotations for our lives.
Many times we feel inadequate:
- We are not big enough
- We are not fast enough
- We are not strong enough
And we curdle down in fear.
This fear is only a mind trick to hide us from the power we have access to.
We have a power within us, around us, and moving through us that is beyond measure.
And when we tap into this power, it can carry us to heights we would have never imagined.
I remember as an athlete, I often felt inadequate.
I was always the smallest athlete, routinely a foot smaller and a hundred pounds heavier than many of my opponents.
And I curdled down in fear.
During these times, I would tap into this deeper power.
I would go deep within and feel that power radiate through every cell in my being.
And I’d allow that power to carry me through my competitions.
And that is my encouragement to you.
There may be times in your sports and lives that you feel inadequate.
You may not feel:
- Big enough
- Fast enough
- Strong enough
To do what you need to do.
Rather than curdling down in fear, …
Realize this is a mind trick to hide you from the deeper power you have access to and …
Connect with that Power within you, beyond you, and moving through you.
And when you do, …
It will carry you to heights beyond what you can imagine.
I wish you well on your journey of experiencing this power beyond measure, and I send love, gratitude, peace, and blessings to you.
Inspiring YOU every step of your way,
Kyle
