Are YOU an ambitious individual with large aspirations?
And are you highly driven to make those dreams come true?
However, it feels like there is still some External Force stopping you from reaching them …
And it is almost as if …
Life is telling you:
- To be patient
- To be still
- To wait
Well, you are in the right place, because on this edition of Weekly Upliftment, I am going to provide you with …
3 Tips to Help Highly Motivated People During Times of Waiting
I am reminded of a story of a farmer.
This farmer was so eager to have his crops grow that he went out to his field one day and started to pull them up with his hands.
In the process, he ended up killing his crops because the crops weren’t ready to be pulled yet and he pulled them out of the roots.
The same can be true with our dreams!!!
Sometimes, Life is telling us to take action, but …
Other times, Life is telling us to be still because …
Our dreams may not yet be ready for harvest.
And if we try to act to harshly on our dreams,
We can end up damaging them.
With that in mind, here are 3 tips to help you to be patient during these times of waiting.
1. Take Tiny Action Steps
Many motivated people like us have these GRAND VISIONS.
However, with these grand visions,
We can lose sight of tiny actions steps that we can take in the moment to lead to our grand visions.
- Rather than focusing on mastering an entire presentation, focus on creating an outline of the first page
- Rather than focusing on reading 50 books throughout the year, pick up a book that calls to you in the moment and read the first chapter
In most cases, there is always a step we can take to lead us to our grand visions.
And these tiny steps (however small and menial they appear),
Lead to our grand visions as they are compounded over time.
2. Take the Focus Off Yourself
Sometimes we do shift our focus from our grand vision and onto tiny action steps,
And we do take action on these steps,
But we are still met with RESISTANCE!!!
During times like these, it can be helpful:
- To take the focus off yourself and
- Onto how you can serve others around you
Often, when we focus on serving others,
Life has a funny way of …
Providing us the breakthroughs we were seeking all along and …
Puts us into contact with the people who hold THE KEY for us to receive our breakthroughs.
And, Finally …
3. Realize You Can’t Be Lazy
This realization was a huge epiphany for me.
As I reflect on my own life,
Sometimes Life was telling me that I needed:
- To be patient
- To be still
- To wait
Because it wasn’t time for my dreams to come true yet.
In many situations,
I was taking action because I didn’t want to be lazy.
I was taking action because I was uncomfortable being still.
However, when I finally surrendered and yielded to life and:
- I was patient
- I was still
- I did wait
I was filled with so much clarity and insight.
And when I was called to get back into action,
I was able to execute at a much higher level.
